I get junk email!
Normally, I just delete it and think no more about it.
Recently though, I've been getting an awful lot of mails from people
claiming to offer me a unique business opportunity. So many of these unique
opportunities resemble each other so strongly, that I thought I should
present a selection of them to the surfing public, hence this site.
Compiling my junk emails into this collection has also transformed my
opinion of them. I used to experience strong feelings of dismay on receiving
junk-mail, now that they have a purpose, I enjoy them. I hope you enjoy
perusing my junk email collection. And remember, it's just for fun.

A selection of business
proposals of highly questionable legality. These have been arriving
since I launched the
Silt Fish website. I don't know how
stupid they think I must be. Has anyone heard of anyone falling for
these obvious scams?
A friend of mine told me that
he'd heard of people turning up for these "business meetings" and never
being seen again!

Thankfully, I don't get many of these. Those that do turn up are usually
either asking for money ( a commodity to which I don't have access! ),
or spreading some hate-filled psycho-gospel. I can imagine them, with
their sweaty shirts and piggy eyes, trying to convert me or save my soul
or some such delusional nonsense. |

How did they get my email address?
Sometimes, I'm told, they use a device which generates email addresses.
They generate so many that some of them have to be right. Then they send
their spam to all the generated addresses, including yours if you're
unlucky.
This email I just received
today (10/05/02) puts a slightly different spin on spammer's methods. |
I've saved the earlier mails
using notepad. Click on the links within each category to read the
complete messages. You might find some of them easier to read if you
copy them into notepad and select word wrap. From now on, I'll save them
as word documents.
